Something new - nuntium centesimum septuagesimum quartum

I thought I'd try something new.  I read a lot of blogs and one thing that's interested me are the people who take jewelry or old jewelry and successfully add tatting to it, like Marie at West Pine Creations.  Last week the ED and I were at Hobby Lobby and found a cheap little cameo.  The cameo is really not much but I'm pleased with the result.
I'm not much for working without a pattern!

  4. Fantastic!! You have done a great job here! I also love Marie's work. She has created some spectacular things and intuitively knows what designs and colors will work. She took the 'doodad' and 'old jewelry' idea and took it to new heights!
You have also transformed this simple cameo into something very unique and attractive! The thread colors are perfect!

  6. Wow! That looks fabulous! I've purchased some inexpensive pins so that I can experiment, but I have no idea where to begin. Maybe I should travel to Minnesota this summer for a Twin Cities Tatters meeting!
